From November 5 to 8, 2025, the World Airway Management Meeting (WAMM) took place in Florence, Italy, gathering over 2,000 airway management experts from 78 countries. Well Lead Medical, a key partner of the event, showcased its commitment to innovation in airway management.

IAMS & Well Lead Young Scholar Travel Award Ceremony

Prior to the meeting, on November 4, 2025, the award ceremony dinner for the IAMS & Well Lead Young Scholar Travel Award, organized by the International Airway Management Society (IAMS) and sponsored by Well Lead Medical, was successfully held in Florence. The event recognized 23 promising young scholars from around the globe in airway management, celebrating their dedication and passion for research in the field.

WAMM 2025 Exhibition Highlights

During the exhibition at WAMM 2025, we showcased our Innovative OLV Solution, which integrates a VLMA with a Video Bronchial Blocker. We also highlighted the TriFlexLAM, a versatile Tri-channel Flexible Laryngeal Airway Mask designed for HEENT surgeries, along with the Wei Nasal Jet Tube (WNJ) for the SJOV technique. The booth attracted considerable interest, with many attendees eager to try our products and engage in discussions about their potential impact on clinical practice. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with professionals and share our innovations!

Well Lead Symposiums During WAMM 2025

Session 1: Supraglottic Jet Oxygenation and Ventilation (SJOV) in Difficult Airway Management

During the session, Professor Huafeng Wei, President of the International Airway Management Society (IAMS) and Professor in University of Pennsylvania, delivered a keynote speech titled “Supraglottic Jet Oxygenation and Ventilation (SJOV) in Difficult Airway Management.” He provided a detailed overview of the application of SJOV technology in difficult airway management, highlighting its advantages for obese patients, those under deep sedation and anesthesia, as well as during upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Professor Wei also introduced his invention, the Wei Nasal Jet Tube (WNJ), which is specifically designed for SJOV technology. This device offers effective jet oxygenation and ventilation while supporting end-tidal carbon dioxide (PetCO₂) monitoring, significantly reducing the risk of hypoxemia and related complications, thus providing a new solution for difficult airway management.

Session 2: Tri-channel Flexible Laryngeal Airway Mask — Backgrounds, Features, and Preliminary Trials

During the session, Dr. Gary Zhou from UPMC Carlisle presented the design concept and preliminary clinical trial results of the “Tri-channel Flexible Laryngeal Airway Mask”. Developed with the assistance of Well Lead Medical, this second-generation flexible laryngeal mask integrates a gastrointestinal channel, a pharyngeal suction channel, and a ventilation channel, making it particularly suitable for HEENT surgeries. The unique design of the TriFlexLAM effectively addresses issues such as limited ventilation and inconvenient suction associated with traditional laryngeal masks, enhancing safety and ease of use during the anesthesia process.

Well Lead Medical’s involvement in WAMM 2025 highlights its dedication to advancing airway management technologies and its ongoing commitment to enhancing global healthcare outcomes. We look forward to continuing this journey and making a positive impact on healthcare together.
